Housing should reflect the full diversity of the people who call British Columbia home. UGTS centers racialized and marginalized families, Indigenous peoples, Black communities, newcomers, children, youth, women, seniors, and people living with disabilities.
We believe every person deserves more than shelter. They deserve a place where dreams feel safe, culture is honored, and belonging does not have to be earned.

Housing is more than a roof.
Safety, relationships, structure, cultural connection, recovery support, and practical opportunities allow housing to become a foundation for lasting change.
These initiatives are in development. UGTS will communicate each project honestly as properties, partnerships, approvals, and funding are secured.

Women’s and Girls Shelter
Safe accommodation with wraparound case management, wellness and cultural programming, housing navigation, income support, and transition planning. No property name or street address is being published while site planning continues.

A culturally grounded recovery pathway supporting stabilization, healing, employment, family reconnection, secure housing, and greater independence.

Affordable Housing Feasibility
With support from the Green Municipal Fund, UGTS is exploring retrofit properties and long-term affordable housing options in Kamloops.
